Carries a heavy payload with a lighter payout at the pump
The 579HFC features a fuel cell drive stack powered by a fusion of hydrogen and oxygen; hydrogen is stored in six on-board cylinders located back of cab. The fuel cell is designed to power the vehicle and recharge the batteries within the propulsion system while additional battery recharge occurs from the regenerative braking system. Both systems optimize battery charge for superior vehicle performance and efficiency.
The 579HFC is designed for mid-to-long-range regional routes with an impressive range of up to 450 miles and a quick 30 minute refuel time, making the 579HFC an ideal solution for longer range zero emission applications.
